Project Koru, Continued Day 5 Day 5 of surfing was amazing AND bittersweet... our last day of surfing :( I sat out surfing on our last day because I had an appointment later in Lahaina.. for a new tattoo! I put on a cute dress that I picked up in a shop there and Bear escorted me and Ahi to get new tattoos! And here we go!! Time for new ink! Look at all that ink all smooshed around :)  The finished product!! I cried when it was done! The pink ribbon means so much - not just my battle, but also my mother's battle. The dragonfly is my spirit animal and also my camp power name! I thought it was fitting to have the dragonfly intertwined with the pink ribbon. The wings turned out like a mosaic of colors, similar to stained glass. I love it!  In the evening, we headed to a sweet spot right next to camp to do some portraits! Brown Sugar & Kali trying to do some crazy Dirty D...

Project Koru, Continued Day 4 Day 4 of surfing was epic! As always, of course! After surfing, I was super worn out. Oops, I got a little sunburned...  Our afternoon on Day 4 was a relaxation day. Several groups of people did lots of different things. I decided to go snorkeling in the bay behind our cabins. I spent the afternoon swimming around in the water, just me and my thoughts. It was serene and beautiful. Link: NEXT PAGE of Project Koru in Hawaii

Project Koru, Continued Day 3 On Day 3, we took a break from surfing to go outrigger canoeing in a bay. I didn't take my phone for photos in the outrigger canoe out of fear of drowning it! More shenanigans in the van :P For lunch, we had a picnic in a beautiful little park that reminded me of something you would find monks sitting in and praying. From there, we headed to an overlook. I can't recall the name of it (for the life of me!). This is a picture of cows. In a field. Beside the ocean. We joked that these are the happiest cows in the world :) We went back to camp and got "dressed" for an evening out! We went to see the production of Ulalena at the Maui Theater. It was AMAZING!!! This guy below was our outrigger canoe guide! Link: NEXT PAGE of Project Koru in Hawaii
