CLICK ME TO LEARN ABOUT MY BLOG: Hi World, It's Me!

Hi World! A dear friend suggested I start a blog, so here I am! I am hoping this space serves as both an outlet to express the daily struggles and fears I experience, and a way to share my story with others.

I would say I'm a pretty normal 37 year old woman. I'm educated, career-focused, and a mom... and I have breast cancer.

I've seen the face of cancer. I watched cancer take my mom away and then follow with many, many more family members. I've done the Komen Race for the Cure many times, in multiple locations. I've walked the American Cancer Society Relay for Life many nights. I've lit the candles, made the pledges, raised the funds, and helped others dealing with cancer. I always knew the battle would become my own... just never so young, so soon.

First, a little more about me!

I'm blessed to be the mother of two amazing little boys. William is 6 years old and he's my oldest. He's a sensitive, gentle, intuitive little boy. James is my youngest at the curious age of 3 years old, and he's just as sweet as his big brother (though I AM a little biased). Neither of them completely understand everything that's happening.

I'm also blessed to also have an amazing 17 year old daughter who became part of my crew by chance and is now stuck with us :) She is fiercely protective of her little brothers and a true blessing in my life.

These three are my sunshine even on the gloomiest of days!

I'm also a "dog mom" to my sweet old man, Rocky, who is turning 10 soon!
